2 Isolated with Coronavirus Symptoms in Sylhet

A Youth and an 80-year-old resident have been admitted to the Corona Isolation Center at Sylhet Saheed Shamsuddin Ahmed Hospital with symptoms close to coronavirus.

"The youth, a university student, arrived at the hospital with symptoms last night and we admitted him," said Sushanta Kumar Mahapatro, hospital's resident medical officer.

He came in touch with some Europe returnees recently, he said.

In addition, the elderly woman came with identical complaints to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital and then she was admitted to the isolation center, our Sylhet correspondent records citing Mahapatro.

Samples of both will be collected and sent to IEDCR soon, he added.

Meanwhile, an elderly UK returnee who was admitted to hospital on Thursday, hours after landing with fever at Sylhet Osmani International Airport, has been diagnosed with coronavirus test negative.
