Anniversary & Celebration

Shampratik Deshkal— the most popular weekly in the country —will be celebrating its 7th anniversary on Saturday at its office. 'Brave Seven' has been set as the theme of the anniversary. 

The program will feature cake cutting ceremony, discussion meetings, the cultural show.                  

On this occasion, writers, readers, patrons, advertisers, and well-wishers adjacent to our media will be present to inspire our journey to reach the "unstoppable" years to come.

It is a matter of courage continuing consistency of seven years' hardship. And this is possible because we have committed correspondents. Moreover, the lion share of the achievements over the seven years partly goes to our district correspondents, respected writers, readers, sponsors, advertisers, and most importantly well-wishers.  

Throughout the past seven years, we have overcome the difficulty along with unwavering support from our colleagues. 

keeping standardness of this weekly, we have been continuing publication of a  triennial magazine— Deshkal Potrika —and moving it forward. And it is a matter of joy that our weekly has never lagged behind in assessing its readers' interests and expectations.

We know that lately our readers and well-wishers have noticed that the house restarted its online news portal. The 24-hour portal is the hub of the instant news in Bangla and English versions seven days a week.

''Baitoki''— organized and anchored by Arshad Siddiqui, our online editor — is a new addition for our targeted readers and thinkers. It is an intellectual discussion session that incorporates social, cultural and anthropological issues. Activists, intellectuals and academicians are welcomed to the program to talk or to discuss. Discussions, arguments, and counter-arguments move on until a common consent is reached.
