Ekushey Book Fair: IPDC Avails Book Loan System

Private lender IPDC Finance Ltd has launched the first-ever interest-free book loan named "Subodh" at the capital's Amar Ekushey Book Fair, aiming to encourage book lovers and new generation buying new books.

One can avail up to Tk3,000 loan and payback with three installments. 

With the slogan “Notun boiyer ghrane, subodh jaguk prane”, IPDC launched the product at Bangla Academy premises yesterday.

IPDC Managing Director and CEO Mominul Islam, prominent singer of the band Souls Partha Barua, Robi 10 Minute School's Arif R Hossain were present, among others, in the launching ceremony.

The loan facility can be enjoyed during the country's largest book fair, throughout February. 

To avail the loan, one will need a National ID card and bkash app only.

All information and help associated services are offered at the fair venue on the IPDC booth. In addition, an individual can also take a loan from the booth instantly.

About the offer, Mominul Islam said, “To bring back the habit of reading among the young generation, IPDC has brought the offer. We hope ‘Subodh’ will help people buy books from their favorite writers.”
