Bashundhara to Build 5,000-Bed Hospital for Covid-19 Treatment

Banshundhara Group, the country's largest industrial conglomerate, will establish a 5,000-bed hospital in response to the global deadly coronavirus pandemic.

On Sunday, Managing Director of the Bashundhara Group Sayem Sobhan Anvir suggested this to Prime Minister Sheik Hasina after handing the PM's relief fund a request for Taka 10 crore.

According to sources, Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan said in a written proposal the hospital will be built utilizing four convention centers and one Bashundhara Group trade center.

In the meantime, the Chairman of the Bashundhara Group has taken measures to periodically administer food assistance by councilors to needy and destitute people from four wards of the Dhaka city municipality. He also hopes to do something larger to counter this pandemic.
