Feni to Go into Lockdown from Midnight

Feni's district administration has come up with a lockdown declaration at 12:00 am in an attempt to test coronavirus transmission (COVID-19).

The decision will come into effect from midnight on March 25 (Wednesday), before further notice.

Deputy Commission Md Wahiduzzaman has requested the residents of the district to obey the lockdown rules and regulations throughout the emergency period.

He also said the action was made for the benefit of the general population.

At this time, no public gathering will be allowed, he said adding that all have to uphold social distancing.

The deputy commissioner said, "Our condition could deteriorate further if the social distancing laws are not enforced."
