Amphan: Committees Formed to Estimate Loss

Four committees have been formed to estimate the economic losses due to cyclonic storm Amphan, said Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md Shahab Uddin.

He revealed this information at an online press briefing after Cyclone Amphan from his official residence on Thursday.

The committees have been asked to submit a report within the next three working days.

The minister said, ''Like other cyclones, the Sundarbans has been affected by Super Cyclone Amphan''.

''Four committees will ascertain the damages caused by the Cyclone Amphan. Steps will be taken after receiving the report,'' he added.
