Rezwana Choudhury Bannya Tests Covid-19 Positive

Rezwana Choudhury Bannya, a famous Rabindra Sangeet singer, has been infected with the novel coronavirus. 

Though she contracted the virus 12 days ago, it was revealed to media on Sunday.

"I'm doing fine physically. I will send my sample again next Tuesday, according to the doctor's recommendation, I expect the tests will be negative," she said.

The 63-year-old singer also asked the people of the country to keep her in their prayers.

Rezwana Choudhury Bannya won many awards, including the Independence Day Award, Feroza Begum Memorial Gold Medal, and the Banga Bhushan Award from  Government of West Bengal , India, for her outstanding achievements in the field.
