5 Passengers on Boat Electrocuted in Tangail

At least five passengers, including two women, were electrocuted on a boat at Basail Upazila in Tangail on Friday. 

The deceased were identified as boatman Toizuddin, 50, Jamela Begum, 60, wife of Minju Mia, her son Hamidur Rahman Rano, 35, Ruma Begum, 32, wife of Joaher, and Shah Alam, 25, son of Haydar Ali.

The incident occurred at Gilbari Bazar area in Kawljani union of the Upazila in the afternoon, UP member Rubel said.
