All eight of the country's divisions are expected to see light to moderate rain or thundershowers during the course of the next 24 hours, starting at 9 a.m. today (12 August), according to the Bangladesh Meteorology Department (BMD).
It warned that "most places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, and Sylhet divisions, as well as many places in Barishal and Chattogram divisions, may experience light to moderate rain or thundershowers along with brief gusty winds in the upcoming 24 hours until 9am tomorrow."
Even if the temperatures during the day and night may not fluctuate much, certain areas of the nation may suffer moderate to heavy falls.
The country's highest temperature was 36.0 degrees Celsius on Friday in Rajshahi, while the lowest temperature today was 23.0 degrees Celsius in Cox's Bazar.
At Rangpur, 85mm of rain fell throughout the last 24 hours up till 6 a.m. today.
In the capital, the sun rises around 5:33 am and sets at 6:35 pm.
