With the sun peeking out, there is no feeling of winter in the day. However, there is a forecast indicating the likelihood of one or two cold waves in the coming month, as stated by the Weather Office.

Starting today, and for the next three days, certain regions of the country may experience rainfall or thunderstorms, with some areas potentially receiving precipitation with lightning. Additionally, towards the end of the month, thunderstorms with rainfall may occur.

Meteorologist Mr. Shahinul Islam stated in a press release that from 9 AM today until the next 72 hours, some regions in the Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions might experience rainfall or thunderstorms. Moreover, in the coming days, Sylhet and Chittagong divisions may also witness such weather conditions.

The Weather Department has alerted that during these three days, rivers across the country, particularly in the northern regions, may experience a moderate to dense fog, affecting internal water transport temporarily.

Mr. Shahinul Islam further mentioned that in the next 72 hours, there could be an increase of 1-2 degrees Celsius in the night temperature nationwide, with daytime temperatures remaining relatively stable. The following day, Tuesday, there might be a slight decrease in nighttime temperatures but stable daytime temperatures.

The Meteorological Department reports an increased presence of regional high-pressure systems over Bihar and adjoining areas. Simultaneously, the natural low-pressure system persists in the southern Bay of Bengal. At 6 AM today, Dhaka experienced winds from the northwest/northwest-northwest at a speed of 8-12 kilometers per hour, with a relative humidity of 75 percent. The Weather Office predicts a gradual increase in temperature in the next five days.

It's noteworthy that the lowest recorded temperature in the country was in Syedpur, Nilphamari, at 10.5 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, Dhaka recorded a minimum temperature of 16.5 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours, with no reported precipitation during this period.
