The deep depression located in the southwest Bay of Bengal has intensified into Cyclone 'Finzal' as it moved northwest. This occurred on Friday, November 29, at 3:00 PM. Due to its influence, there is a chance of rainfall in some parts of the country today, Saturday, November 30, and tomorrow, Sunday, December 1. Additionally, the weather office has issued a two-number distant warning signal for maritime ports.

The weather office provided this information in its forecast for the next 72 hours, starting at 6:00 PM on Friday, November 29.

According to the synoptic situation, the deep depression in the southwest Bay of Bengal and its surrounding areas has moved northwest and intensified into Cyclone 'Finzal.' As of 3:00 PM today, it is located at 11.0°N latitude and 82.2°E longitude. The cyclone is expected to continue moving northwest and may cross the northern Tamil Nadu coast by Saturday afternoon. Its extended reach stretches up to the northern Bay of Bengal.

In the meantime, the Meteorological Department's Storm Warning Centre issued a special notice in the evening, stating that the maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla, and Payra should lower the one-number distant warning signal and raise the two-number distant warning signal. All fishing boats and trawlers in the northern Bay of Bengal and deep sea have been advised to stay near the coast and move cautiously until further notice.

In the weather forecast for the next 24 hours, it has been predicted that under the influence of the cyclone, light to moderate rain may occur in some parts of Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions. However, the weather in the rest of the country is expected to remain mostly dry. During this period, night temperatures may rise slightly, while daytime temperatures may decrease by 1-2°C.

On Sunday, light to moderate rain is also expected in some parts of Khulna and Barishal divisions, with the rest of the country remaining mostly dry. Day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged.

On Monday, December 2, the weather is expected to remain mostly dry across the country. Light to moderate fog may occur in some areas during the late night to early morning hours. Day and night temperatures may experience slight changes.

Additionally, the extended forecast for the next five days suggests that both night and day temperatures are likely to decrease gradually.
