The weather department has forecast that the weather across the country may remain dry with partially cloudy skies temporarily.
In the 72-hour forecast, signed by meteorologist Mohammad Omar Faruk on Friday, December 27, it was stated that the extended part of the subcontinental high-pressure zone is currently stretching from West Bengal and nearby areas. A normal low-pressure system is present in the southern Bay of Bengal, and its extended part stretches up to the northeastern Bay of Bengal.
The weather department added that light to moderate fog may occur at various places across the country during the late night and early morning hours. The night temperature is expected to decrease slightly, while the daytime temperature may remain nearly unchanged.
On Saturday, December 28, the weather is expected to remain mostly dry with partial cloud cover across the country. However, light rain or drizzle may occur at a few places in the Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions. Light to moderate fog is also expected in various parts of the country during the late night and morning hours. The night temperature may increase by 1-2°C in the Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions, while it may increase slightly elsewhere. Daytime temperatures are expected to remain almost unchanged across the country.
On Sunday, December 29, the weather will remain mostly dry with temporary partial cloud cover. However, light rain or drizzle may occur at a few places in the Rangpur division. Light to moderate fog is also expected across the country during the late night and morning hours. Night temperatures may increase by 1-2°C nationwide, with the daytime temperature in the northern regions possibly decreasing by 1-2°C.
The weather department further mentioned that over the next five days, both night and daytime temperatures may decrease.
