Student, Teacher Politics Banned In Rangpur Medical College

All kinds of student and teacher politics have been banned on the Rangpur Medical College campus and dormitories.

These decisions were taken unanimously at a meeting of the Academic Council on Monday (August 12) at noon. Later in the night, the principal of the college, Prof Dr Shah Md Sarwar Jahan, issued a notification in this regard.

The decisions taken by the Academic Council are:

*Praying for the eternal peace of the departed souls of the martyrs of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and extending deep sympathy to all the bereaved family members.

*All kinds of political activities (Chhatra League, Chhatra Dal, Chhatra Samaj, Chhatra Union, Chhatra Shibir, and any other political parties) of students, teachers, and employees will be permanently banned on the campus and dormitories. Action will be taken against those who disobey the order.

*To ensure proper treatment of all the students injured in the movement and express deep sympathy to them.

*Take all necessary measures for the sake of maintaining a fair living environment in the dormitories, including the safety of the students.

These decisions will be effective from Monday (August 12).
