A discussion titled - 'Social Psychology of Male-Female Relationships' - organized by Shampratik Deshkal is going to be held at its Office (1/22, Iqbal Road, Mohammadpur) on Saturday at 4 pm on 29th February.
Professor Akimun Nahar- a noted researcher cum writer- will be present as the keynote speaker.
Born in 1960 in Narayanganj, Akimun Nahar completed her Bachelor's and Master's degree from Dhaka University.
Later, she did her Ph.D. under the supervision of Dr. Humayun Azad. Her dissertation was published as a book titled 'The Reality in Modern Bangla Novels (1920-'50) from Bangla Academy.
She is well known as a researcher, novelist, and storyteller.
Besides writing, she has also been in teaching for a long time. Her career as a writer began in the late eighties. However, She was widely discussed after publishing 'Bibi Theke Begum' in 1996.

Akimun received the 'Ananya Sahitya Award' in 2019 for her contribution to research works, articles, and fiction.
