3 Dropped As 7 Named For Bangla Academy Literary Award

Bangla Academy has declared the revised list of its literary awards after a review meeting of the executive council.

Bangla Academy public relations wing published the list on Wednesday (January 29).

The new list features seven awardees, down from the initial 10. This time, no one is being awarded the prizes in the Liberation War, fiction, and children's literature.

February 1, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the chief advisor to the interim government, will officially hand over the award at the inauguration of the Amar Ekushey Book Fair.

Earlier on January 23, the academy suspended the list of winners of the Bangla Academy Literary Award 2024 amid controversies.
