4 including cop killed as bus hits truck in Gopalganj

Four people including a police officer were killed after a bus hit a truck stationed on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in Gopalganj Sadar upazila early today.

The deceased were identified as Sub-Inspector of Gopalganj Police Lines Abdur Rashid,45, Bijan Hawlader, 23, Rasel, 22, and Komol Mandal, 28, reports our Faridpur correspondent quoting officer-in-charge of Bhanga Highway Police Station Ataur Rahman.

At least 15 other people were also injured in the incident that took place around 2:00am in Shonashuri area, the official added.
