ACC Opens Hotline for Expatriate Bangladeshis

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has put in place a hotline to encourage expatriates from Bangladesh to file complaints regarding violations and corruption.

The hotline was introduced on Sunday.

Expatriates can call +8809612106106 between 9 am and 5 pm Bangladesh local time.

On 19 February, the ACC used one of its officials ' phone numbers to receive complaints from expatriates.

The ACC received over a hundred complaints from expatriates in Australia, France, UK, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Malaysia in two days.

ACC said the majority of complaints had to do with property, stores, law and order, travel agency irregularities and Akama. Such grievances, though, are not within the purview of ACC.
