37 More Deaths from Coronavirus, New Cases 2949

Bangladesh today confirmed 37 more deaths from the novel coronavirus and 2,949 new infections tested in 13,488 samples in the last 24 hours.

As a result, the death rate from the lethal virus rose to 2,275 and the total number of cases reached 1,78,443. Some 16 patients cured at this period.

Additional Director General of Health Directorate Nasima Sultana made the disclosure during a virtual briefing today.

The virus has killed 557,569 people worldwide and infected 12,397,959 so far.
