Kotwali OC, 4 Others Sued over Extortion

A businessman has filed a case against five policemen, including the city’s Kotwali Police Station officer-in-charge Mizanur Rahman, for their alleged involvement in the extortion.

Garment trader Md Sohel filed the case with Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court on Monday.  

The above police officials are alleged to have demanded the extortion threatening the complainant that failure to pay the money will result in his extinction in the crossfire.

According to the court's process server Shahriar, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Sufian Md Noman was yet to pass any order in this regard.
