One Chattogram Fire Victim Dies, 6 More Shifted to Dhaka

One burn victim died among nine people who suffered burn injuries after a fire broke out early Monday in the Marium Bhaban in Uttar Kattali area of the port city of Chattogram.

Six more fire victims were sent to Dhaka for better care. Two of them are in a critical condition.

The deceased was identified as Peyari Begum, 62. She breathed her last at 12:30 p.m. at the Burn Unit of the Chattogram Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) while undergoing treatment.

Dr Rafique Uddin, Burn Unit doctor of CMCH, confirmed the matter.
