Home Minister, Senior Secretary Infected with COVID-19

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and Mostofa Kamal Uddin, Senior Secretary of the Public Security Division of the Ministry concerned, were infected with coronavirus or Covid-19. 

Home Ministry Public Relations Officer Sharif Mahmud confirmed the details while talking to a reporter on Sunday. 

He said that as their test results from icddr'b were positive, the home minister and the senior secretary were diagnosed with Covid-19. And both, now and in-home isolation, are secure. 

A total of 6,194 people have been killed by Covid-19 so far in the world, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). 21 people have died across Bangladesh in the last 24 hours.
