UGS Urges BPSC to Extend 43rd BCS Application Deadline

The University Grants Commission (UGC) on Thursday urged Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) to extend the application deadline for the 43rd Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination till March 31.

In this regard, the UGC issued a formal request to BPSC explaining that country's all educational institutions have been closed since March 18, 2020, as per the instructions of the government.

No examinations at the graduation and post-graduation level were held during the period.

Under such circumstances, the vice-chancellors of all public universities of the country sat in a meeting on December 13 and decided to hold examinations of final year for the students at graduation and post-graduation level, following health guidelines.

The VCs had also requested the UGC to take the necessary measures on behalf of the universities to extend the application time for the BCS examination.
