COVID-19 Deaths Surpass 8,000 in Bangladesh

The death toll from Covid-19 exceeded 8,000 in Bangladesh as the country reported 22 deaths in the last 24 hours. The total number of death from the virus climbed to 8,003 across the country so far.

Besides, some 436 new cases were detected during the same period, taking the total number of cases to 5,31,326 across the country.

A press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed the development on Saturday (January 23).

Meanwhile, some 338 people made recovery from the deadly virus, climbing the total recovered people to 4,75,899.
