Bangabandhur Feriwala Asks Al Jazeera to Seek Apology

Social organization Bangabandhur Feriwala on Tuesday asked Qatar-based television network Al Jazeera to seek unconditional apology for airing a purposeful report defaming the Bangladesh government and its army.

Protesting the news content, the activists of the organization formed a human chain on Alaol Avenue at Uttara in the capital said a press release.

The speakers termed the Al Jazeera investigative report as 'false, defamatory and a politically motivated smear campaign.'

If the authorities do not seek unconditional apology, the youth of Bangladesh will boycott the channel, they said.
