Ruet student Found Dead at Mess

A student of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) was found dead at a mess in the city on Monday.

The deceased, identified as Shakkhor Saha, son of Sapad Saha -- hailing from Faridpur Sadar upazila -- was a 15th batch student of Ruet civil engineering department.

Fellow residents of the mess knocked on Shakkhor's door at around 12pm today, but getting no response, they broke the lock of the room and found him unconscious on the floor.

They rushed him to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead, said Prof Rabiul Awal, director of Ruet students' office.
