Public Transport Service to Resume Wednesday

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said that it has been decided to introduce public transport in all city corporation areas of the country including the capital Dhaka.

"The decision will take effect on Wednesday," he told a news conference at his residence on Tuesday afternoon.

Quader said, "Public transport service will be running in all city corporation areas including Dhaka and Chittagong from 6 am to 6 pm every day."

However, no outside transport will be able to enter or exit the city, he added.
