Coronavirus Claims 97 More Lives

Bangladesh reported 97 more Covid-19 deaths in the last 24 hours till 8 am Monday, taking the total death count to 11,150 in the country.

On 20 April, the number of daily fatalities dropped below 100 after a record number of daily deaths in four consecutive days since April 16.

In the meantime, the country recorded 3,306 new cases, with an infection rate of 13.33% in the last 24 hours. The country's caseload reached 7,48,628 as of Monday.

The country's maiden cases were reported on 8 March last year and the news of the first death from the virus came out 10 days later, on 18 March.
