Edible Oil Price Rises by Tk2 Per Litre

Price of edible oil has been increased by Tk 2 per litre.

Bottled soybean oil will cost Tk141 per litre from now on.

The Bangladesh Vegetable Oil Refiners and Vegetable Manufacturers Association confirmed the matter in a press release on Monday.

The association proposed to increase the price by Tk5 per litre.

However, later on request of the commerce ministry, they decided to decrease Tk3/litre considering the purchasing capacity of the consumers during Ramadan and pandemic.

Earlier in March, the commerce ministry fixed the price for soybean oil Tk 139.

Open soybean oil used to be sold at Tk. 117, which will be Tk. 119 from now.
