Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Friday forecasted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by the temporary gusty wind in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am today.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country in 24-hour till 9am tomorrow,” said a met office bulletin issued this morning.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am today was recorded 76 mm at Netrokona in Mymensingh division.
The country’s maximum temperature on yesterday was recorded 36.5 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi in Rajshahi division and today’s minimum temperature 24.0 degrees Celsius was recorded at Kumarkhali in Khulna division.
The sun sets at 6.46 pm today and rises at 5.10 am tomorrow in the capital.
