The Chinese Sinopharm will deliver the second batch of 6 lakh doses of the Covid-19 vaccine to Bangladesh today .

On Saturday night, two Bangladesh Air Force aircraft flew from Dhaka to China to bring the vaccine doses.

Bangladesh will get the second package of Covid-19 vaccinations from China as a gift.

On May 12, China presented Bangladesh with a gift of five lakh Sinopharm vaccine doses. The government has already begun distributing them to medical students on a priority basis.

The Chinese vaccines arrive in Bangladesh at a time when the country is severely in need of vaccinations as India banned AstraZeneca vaccine exports in March due to a large increase of Covid-19 infections.
