3 Motorcyclists Killed in Mymensingh Road Crash

Three motorcycle riders were crushed under the wheels of a truck at Harintala area on Mymensingh-Tangail Highway in Muktagacha Upazila of Mymensingh on Tuesday night.

The deceased were identified as Selim Mia, 21, son of Abdur Rashid, Sabuj Mia, 20, son of Abul Kashem, and Antor Mia, 19, son of Lal Mia. All of them were resident of Charipara village of Ghoga union of the upazila and were workers at a brick field, reports media.

Officer-in-charge of Muktagacha police station Dulal Akand said that the accident took place as a truck rammed the motorcycle on which the victims were riding to go to their home from their workplace at around 8:00pm, leaving one dead on the spot and two others injured.

Later, the injured were taken to Muktagacha Upazila Hospital were duty doctor declared them dead, he said.

Police arrested the truck driver after the accident, he added.
