16 More Die at General Hospital in Tangail

At least 16 people have died at the General Hospital in Tangail in the last 24 hours due to coronavirus infection and its symptoms. Of these, seven died from Covid-19 and nine more died with symptoms.

Tangail General Hospital Assistant Director Dr. Sadiqur Rahman confirmed the matter on Thursday (July 1).

He said four of the Covid-19 patients died in the ICU and the rest in the corona dedicated unit and isolation center. The hospital's two general (gynecology and medicine) wards have already been left for corona patients due to increased pressure on Covid-19 patients and suspected Covid-19 patients at the hospital.

He said the hospital was struggling to provide the necessary doctors, nurses and other manpower. Even then the doctors and staffs of the hospital are trying their best.
