Khulna Division Reports Highest Single-Day Covid-19 Deaths

Khulna division reported the highest number of coronavirus (Covid-19) deaths in the last 24 hours.

A total of 46 people died of coronavirus infections in the division over the period, taking the number of total deaths 1,214, reports media.

Besides 1,004 more tested positive for the virus, raising the number of total cases to 60,564.

Dr Rasheda Sultana, divisional director of health, confirmed this information on Sunday.

Of the deceased, fifteen are from Khulna and Kushtia, seven from Jashore, two each from Magura, Jhenaidah and Chuadanga and one each from Satkhira, Bagerhat and Meherpur.

Khulna reported its first Coronavirus case on March 19 last year.
