A
total of 16 persons have died as a result of coronavirus (Covid-19) infections
and coronavirus-like symptoms while receiving treatment at four Khulna
hospitals' corona units.
The
deaths occurred in the last 24 hours, starting at 8:00 am on Wednesday (July
28) and ending at 8:00 am today, Thursday (July 29).
Seven people died in the 130-bed dedicated Covid-19 hospital in Khulna, one at the 250-bed General (sadar) Hospital, three at the private Gazi Medical College Hospital, and five at the Shaheed Sheikh Abu Naser Specialised Hospital's corona unit.
Dr
Shuhash Ranjan Haldar, focal person at the coronavirus unit of Khulna Medical
College Hospital (KMCH), Gazi Mizanur Rahman, proprietor of Gazi Medical
College Hospital, Dr Kazi Abu Rashed, spokesperson at the corona unit of the
general hospital, and Prakash Chandra Debnath, spokesperson at the corona unit
of Shaheed Sheikh Abu Naser Specialised Hospital, individually confirmed their
deaths on Wednesday (July 29).
