MMCH Logs Highest 30 Covid-19 Daily Deaths

Thirty more patients died at the Covid unit of Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital, the highest single-day death toll so far in the past 24 hours till Friday morning, according to the district's health officials, reports media.  

“Of the deceased, sixteen were Covid-19 positive while fourteen others died with Covid-like-symptoms,” said Dr Mohiuddin Khan Moon, spokesperson of corona unit of MMCH.

Among the fatalities, twelve were from Mymensingh, nine from Netrokona, four from Jamalpur, two from Tangail, and one each from Sherpur, Sunamgonj, and Gazipur.

With newly admitted 51 patients, a total of 525 patients are undergoing treatment against 230 beds while 23 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital, he added.

Some 87 other patients returned home after being cured during the same time.
