Ten more patients died at the Covid unit of Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital in the past 24 hours till Wednesday morning, according to the district's health officials.
“Of the deceased, six were Covid-19 positive while four others died with Covid-like-symptoms,” said Dr Mohiuddin Khan Moon, spokesperson of Covid unit of MMCH, reports media.
Among the fatalities, six were from Mymensingh, two from Netrokona and one each from Jamalpur, and Sherpur.
With newly admitted 69 patients, a total of 424 patients are undergoing treatment against 230 beds while 20 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital, he added.
Some 50 other patients returned home after being cured during the same time.
Meanwhile, Dr Mohammad Nazrul Islam, Civil Surgeon of the district said that in the last 24 hours, 1,283 samples were tested and 391 people were identified as Covid positive.
