Covid-19: MMCH Logs 23 More Deaths

Twenty-three more patients died at the Covid unit of Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital in the past 24 hours till Saturday morning, according to the district's health officials. 

“Of the deceased, ten were Covid-19 positive while thirteen others died with Covid-like-symptoms,” said Dr Mohiuddin Khan Moon, spokesperson of Covid unit of MMCH.

Among the fatalities, fifteen were from Mymensingh, four from Netrokona, two from Sherpur, one each from Jamalpur, and Gazipur, reports media.

With newly admitted 24 patients, a total of 399 patients are undergoing treatment against 230 beds while 22 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital, he added.

Some 26 other patients returned home after being cured during the same time.

Meanwhile, Dr Mohammad Nazrul Islam, Civil Surgeon of the district said that in the last 24 hours, 600 samples were tested and 139 people were identified as Covid positive.
