MMCH Records 25 More Covid-19 Deaths

Twenty-five more patients died at the Covid unit of Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital in the past 24 hours till Sunday morning, according to the district's health officials.

“Of the deceased, ten were Covid-19 positive while fifteen others died with Covid-like-symptoms,” said Dr Mohiuddin Khan Moon, spokesperson of Covid unit of MMCH, reports media.

Among the fatalities, eighteen were from Mymensingh, three from Netrokona, one each from Sherpur, Jamalpur, Kishoregonj, and Tangail.

With newly admitted 46 patients, a total of 359 patients are undergoing treatment against 230 beds while 21 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital, he added.

Some 59 other patients returned home after being cured during the same time.

Meanwhile, Dr Mohammad Nazrul Islam, Civil Surgeon of the district said that in the last 24 hours, 684 samples were tested and 186 people were identified as Covid positive while the infection rate was 27.29 per cent.

Meanwhile, Dr Khairul Islam, spokesperson of Community Based Medical College Hospital Bangladesh (CBMCB), said that a total of 21 patients were admitted to the CBMCB corona unit till Sunday morning.
