RMCH Records 6 More Deaths at Covid-19 Unit

Six more people have died from coronavirus (Covid-19) infections and coronavirus-like symptoms while undergoing treatment at the corona unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).

Confirming the matter this morning, RMCH Director Brig Gen Shamim Yazdani said the deaths were reported in the last 24 hours starting from 8:00am on Wednesday (August 25) to 8:00am today, Thursday (August 26).

Of the six deaths, four died of Covid-19 infections, one died of symptoms similar to that of coronavirus while the remaining one was coronavirus negative and died of breathing problems, he said.

Mentionable, a total of 354 people died at the corona unit of the hospital in the month of June and 535 people in July.
