Eight More Deaths Recorded at Corona Unit of MMCH

Eight more people died at corona unit of Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital (MMCH) in the last 24 hours.

Of the deceased, three died of Covid-19 while five died of coronavirus-like symptoms.

The deceased who were infected with Covid-19 are identified as Akhtera (48) of Trishal, Nurul Islam (70) of Fulpur and Fathema Khatun (55) of Nandail.

Corona unit’s focal person Dr Mohiuddin Khan Moon revealed this information on Saturday morning.

Dr Moon said currently 174 patients are undergoing treatment at the Covid-19 unit. Of the patients, 17 are receiving treatment at the ICU.  In the last 24 hours, 14 patients were newly hospitalized while 10 people returned home after recovery of Covid-19.         

District Civil Surgeon Md Nazrul Islam said 42 people were tested positive for Covid-19 out of 362 sample tests.
