Russel-Shamima in RAB Custody

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has taken Shamima Nasrin, chairman of e-commerce site Evaly, and its managing director Mohammad Russel into the custody for questioning.

They were taken into custody in the afternoon after a raid on Russel's Niloy Comprehensive Holding home (House 5/5 A, Sir Syed Road) from noon on Thursday (September 16).

However, the RAB has not officially said whether they have been arrested or not. No one was allowed to enter through the gate of the house.

Earlier, a case was filed against Russel and his wife Shamima Nasrin (chairman of the company) at Gulshan police station for embezzlement, said Anind Talukder, duty officer of Gulshan police station.

He said a customer of Evaly had filed the case in the name of Arif Baker. His case number is-19.
