Pfizer Shots for Students Those Aged 12-17: Health Min

The government has decided to administer Pfizer Covid-19 vaccines to those aged between 12 and 17 years, said Health Minister Zahid Maleque.

"We'll soon begin the vaccination campaign as the country's Covid-19 situation is under control," said the minister while speaking at a seminar in Manikganj municipality on Saturday.

As the Covid-19 crisis in the country has been brought under control, the health minister said that educational institutions have reopened. The wheels of the economy have began to turn as a result of the improving situation, he said, as factories have begun to operate.

More than one crore individuals will be shot in the next campaign, according to the minister.

The seminar was presided over by Manikganj Municipality Mayor Md Ramjan Ali, who was joined by Manikganj Deputy Commissioner Abdul Latif, Police Super Golam Azad Khan, and District Awami League President Advocate Golam Mohiuddin, among others.
