Health Minister Zahid Maleque has claimed that the coronavirus vaccine be developed in Bangladesh and exported abroad. "The World Health Organization has promised to give us all the support we need to procure the coronavirus vaccine," he said. After procuring the vaccine, Bangladesh will be able to export it abroad.

He was speaking as the special guest at the inauguration ceremony of the Drug Addiction Treatment and Mental Health Counseling Center (OASIS) in Dhaka's South Keraniganj on Thursday (October 7) at noon.

"We have given 8 million doses of vaccine in one day, which many countries of the world have not yet been able to do," he said. We hope to be able to give more than 8 million vaccines in one day on the occasion of Victory day of Bangladesh.

The health minister said the prime minister had spent about Tk 20,000 crore for the Covid-19 vaccine. She said that every person in the country will be vaccinated as much as it takes.
