COVID Deaths Show Signs of Slowing, Even as Cases Surge

In the 24 hours leading up to 8 am Monday, Bangladesh recorded 11 more deaths from Covid-19.

During the same time period, 599 more people tested positive for the virus.

Meanwhile, after analyzing 23,193 samples across the country, health officials found a 2.58 percent positivity rate.

Since September 21, the country has had a negative sentiment rate of less than 5%.

For the past 19 days, the death rate has stayed constant at 1.77 percent.

A day ago, Bangladesh recorded 14 deaths and 481 illnesses.
