Transport Strike Called Off

The transport strike, which started abruptly to demand fare hike, has been called off.

On Sunday (November 7th) afternoon, buses will run on all routes of the country as per the previous rules.

Khandaker Enayet Ullah, secretary-general of the Road Transport Owners Association, told the media after a meeting at the BRTA building in the capital at 5 pm today.

He said bus fares have been rising since Monday, prompting a nationwide bus strike to be called off following the decision.
