2 Cases Filed under DSA for Spreading Propaganda against Hasan Mahmud

Two cases were lodged under Digital Security Act (DSA) for spreading false information and fabricated photo against Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud at social platform  Facebook.

Former joint secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BSL) central committee Omar Faruk Shiblu and former organizing secretary of Rangunia upazila unit BCL Md Ali Shah filed the cases with Sutrapur police station in the city, said a press release.

According to the case statement, false information and fabricated photo were posted and shared on social platform Facebook from November 25 intending to tarnish the image of Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud.

The case mentioned various links to the Facebook posts and called for immediate legal action against those who posted, shared and liked the post.
