5 Detained from Suspected Militant Den in Nilphamari

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered bomb-like objects and bomb-making equipment from a suspected militant hideout in the Majhapara area of ​​Nilphamari Sadar. Five people were arrested during the operation.

RAB has cordoned off the house in Majhapara Putihari Majhapara area of ​​Sonaray Union of Nilphamari Sadar Upazila since early morning on Saturday (December 4). At this time the police also took position in the vicinity.

According to a RAB message in the morning, a team of RAB went to Nilphamari by helicopter from Dhaka and carried out the operation.

RAB Assistant Director ASP ANM Imran Khan said that RAB had identified an IED-like explosive at the spot. A team from the RAB's Bomb Disposal Unit is working to defuse the explosives. Five people have been arrested from that house.
