Armed Police Battalion (APBN) arrested Shah Ali,
brother of Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) chief Ataullah Abu Jununi,
from Ukhia Rohingya camp in Cox's Bazar with firearms, cash and drugs.
The matter has been confirmed by 14 APBN captain
SP Naimul Haque.
SP Naimul Haque said Ataullah Abu Jununi, the
head of Myanmar's armed terrorist group Arsa. According to intelligence,
Ataullah's brother was in the camp. Acting on the tip-off, he was arrested. He
is currently being questioned.
As many as 1.1 million Rohingyas took refuge in
various places including Teknaf in Cox's Bazar after fleeing their territory
due to the wrath of Myanmar's junta government. Camps were set up to shelter
the Rohingyas. There are allegations against ARSA that the group has been
committing various misdeeds in these camps from the very beginning.
Muhibullah, a Rohingya repatriation leader, was
killed in a brushfire at the Rohingya Kutupalong camp on September 29 last
year. Muhibullah may be the victim of their own conflict with the help of ARSA.
Such suspicions of Rohingya leaders.
They claim the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army
(ARSA), now known as Al Yakin, known to the people of Cox's Bazar as a militant
force.
Naimul Haque, commander (superintendent of
police) of the 14th Armed Police Battalion, said 114 so-called ARSA terrorists
were arrested. Besides, 58 more people involved in various crimes have been
arrested.
