Cox’s Bazar Road Accident Leaves 2 Dead, 15 Injured

Two people have been killed and 15 others injured in a three-way collision between a passenger bus, a pickup, and a van in Chakaria Upazila of Cox’s Bazar, reports media.

The accident took place on Chittagong-Cox's Bazar highway near Medakachchhpia National Park in Khutakhali of the Upazila in the early hours of Monday.  

The identities of the deceased were not immediately known and the injured were admitted to a nearby local hospital, confirmed Malumghat Highway Police Outpost In-Charge Shafayet Hossain.

The accident happened when the van tried to overtake the pickup, killing two people on spot. Police have seized all the three vehicles, Shafayet added.
