2 Killed, 12 Hurt in Bus-Truck Collision in Rangpur

Two people were killed and at least 12 others injured in a head-in-collision between a bus and a potato-laden truck in Rangpur’s Mithapukur Upazila on Friday morning, reports media.

The identities of the deceased and injured could not be known yet.

Shahjahan Ali, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bara Dargah Highway Police Outpost, said the bus of ‘Mayer Doa’ from Dhaka collided with the truck coming from opposite direction in Shathibari Bhabna petrol pump area on Dhaka-Rangpur highway at 6:30 am, leaving the truck driver and a passenger of the bus died on the spot and injuring  12 people.

The injured were sent to Rangpur Medical College and Hospital.
